When I try to answer the question, "Jesus is born, now what!"
What does it mean?
The first thing that I grab onto is hope. That's right, there is hope for human kind. Ponder on why Jesus was sent to be one of us, there is no doubt that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for our sins and inequities.
We also know how stubborn we humans can be, God knew all this; God knew we would not be able to overcome our humanness without divine intervention.
Because of God's mighty grace and love for us, God became flesh and dwelt among us, incarnate Jesus Christ
This baby just born is the son of God. This baby just born is God's grace. This baby just born is God's love sent to save us from ourselves and the evil one.
Through this baby just born God has given us the Holy Spirit.
God has given us freedom from wanton sin and chasing the world's buffet of wonders that leads to our destruction.
This baby just born; the child Jesus brings us Hope of a better life, Hope of an eternal life, Hope, for things to come.
This child Jesus brings us Joy. Jesus came not only for the
lowly, Jesus came not only for those who feel outcast and abandoned, Jesus came also for all who have sinned against God and have no way of saving themselves. Jesus came to share the Joy of being adopted by God as brothers a sister of Jesus.
Amen and halleluiah!
Joy in loving one another. Jesus came to be Emmanuel, "God with us," Joy In God's grace giving us His Son, to die in our place to bring us salvation.
Jesus came to show a great love. What a great Love for us from God. I mean, take a moment to ponder in your heart how much you would have to love someone to sacrifice your child for those who sinned against you.
What love is this that God sent His Son to die for us?
Jesus is born: "Now what?" Now we live with hope that someday Jesus will return. We live knowing in our hearts that Jesus is Emmanuel, who will never leave us or forsake us.
We live joyfully knowing that we are children of God. We live sharing the love that God has shared with us.
Now as the saying goes "the ball is in your court:" This gift of salvation is freely given to you. The answer to "Now what" is that we must take the gift as our own. No matter what one thinks they have been in this world, one must receive the gift to experience the power of God's love. You must confess that Jesus is Lord, not only of the world but particularly your very own life/soul.
Do You Have room in your heart for Jesus!
"If thou hast but room for Christ, He will come and dwell with you." One must be willing by faith to receive this gift of Salvation, Hope, Peace, Joy, Love.
Have You any room in your heart for Jesus?
Let this be the moment now, to begin a new life in Jesus Christ. The Choice is yours. Will you accept this gift of salvation, grace, and love? Or will you cling to this world of destruction?
